Our Services
Christ-Centered, theologically rich, affordable, biblical counseling
-

One-on-one
Meet with a W&S counselor who seeks to understand you and create a tailor-made counseling plan that directly apply the truths of Scripture to what’s going on in your life. Your W&S counselor is more than a counselor; your counselor is a theologian, who studies and applies God’s word with specificity and skill.
-

Teens & Children
W&S counselors approach counseling children and teens as a collaborative project between parents/guardians and your counselor. Children and teens can be helped by a skilled counselor, but our counselors never want to replace a child’s caretaker. Rather we want to help facilitate family relationships and equip trustworthy adults for a child’s long-term care.
-

Marriage & Family
“You don’t counsel a marriage, you counsel people in a marriage.” In this, W&S counselors aim to help husbands and wives learn how to communicate and care for one another through short-term, interactive counseling sessions. Often W&S marriage counseling happens in conjunction with one-on-one counseling.
-

Intensive
W&S occasionally offers weekend long intensive counseling for adults who desire to get a jump start on their progress. This typically happens over a Friday and Saturday, with food and lodging provided. Use the contact for to inquire about intensive counseling.
Meet Our Counselors
Meg King
Meg is the founder of W&S Counseling. She’ll champion local, theologically-rich, biblical counseling for the rest of her life.
Meg holds a masters degree in biblical counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelors degree in communication from Texas A&M University. She’s currently working on a Ph.D. at Southern in biblical counseling and is focusing on applied theology. She also has been ACBC certified since 2018.
Meg saw both the good and the hard of counseling when she sought help for herself after a tumultuous childhood. She uses the lessons she learned as a counselee to care compassionately for those who she has the privilege of helping. Since 2018, she has counseled women and teens through some of life’s most difficult and challenging seasons. It’s her joy and honor to skillfully apply God’s word in people’s lives and to see God bring comfort and care.
Meg, her husband, and their five children live in Georgetown, just north of Austin, Texas. You can find the King family cheering each other on in a myriad of sporting events or at church, enjoying the company of God’s people.
Rachael Rose
Rachael holds a bachelors degree in intercultural studies from Spurgeon College and a masters degree in biblical counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In her master’s studies, she spent time focusing on difficulties like ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and depression.
Rachael saw a gap in the church concerning the area of discipleship after she was blessed with being a part of a healthy church and having faithful friends patiently walk with her through many difficult seasons in her college years. She recognized her own deficiencies to counsel ladies in her church. This, along with sound wisdom from those close to her, is what pushed her towards biblical counseling. Rachael is a recent graduate who is just beginning her journey as a counselor and is thrilled to learn from Meg, Heather, and many other counselors along the way.
It breaks her heart to watch fellow believers go through difficulties and deep sorrows in their lives. It also hurts her heart to see ladies who deeply love the Lord never have the opportunity to be discipled in a deep way. The Lord has given her these heart sensitivity’s and a desire to counsel others. She love working with ladies in the church in helping them lean into Christ as their hope while they go through difficulties in life.
Apart from counseling, she love the outdoors and being active. She also enjoys a wide variety of music.
Heather Burnside
Heather spent her early childhood in the Oklahoma panhandle, before her father’s job took them to the Houston area when she was a teenager. By God’s grace, Heather was saved at a young age, and grew up in a family that was consistently engaged in their church and its ministries. While attending Texas A&M University, Heather was an active member and leader with Aggie Sisters for Christ. It was also there that she met her husband, Glenn, with whom she will be celebrating 29 years of marriage this summer.
Heather has always had a heart and calling for ministry, especially to other women, and has served in leadership roles in women’s ministries throughout her life. As a young mother, she served as a Director for Mothers of PreSchoolers, and as her children grew up, she got to continue to serve with that organization as a Mentor Mom.
Heather currently serves on the board of directors at Grace Academy, a Classical Christian School in Georgetown, Texas, has been a co-leader of her church’s women’s ministry, is currently working through her certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and recently began a graduate study program through Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
But what Heather would want the most for you to know about her is this - that she is a redeemed follower of Jesus Christ, saved by the irresistible call of God the Father, and continuously sanctified by the workings of the Holy Spirit - and she would love to share the Good News of Jesus’ death and resurrection with you.
